At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the
County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on
Thursday the twenty fourth day of October in the twenty eighth Year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the second king of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George
Cooke
< no role > George Errington< no role > John Dekewer< no role > Esqrs . and others their Fellows Justices of our said
Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Stains in the
County of Middx exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto the Court of the last General
Session of the Peace begun and holden for the said County of Middx on Monday the ninth day
of September last Setting forth That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order of Removal under
the Hands and Seals of Sir Joseph Ayloffe Houlding< no role > Baronet and Thomas Bennett< no role > Esquire
two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the
said County of Middx (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the sixteenth day of
August One thousand seven hundred and fifty four made for the removal of Elizabeth Collier< no role >
Spinster in the said Pass Warrant or Order mentioned from the Parish of Saint Margaret in
the City of Westminster in the County aforesaid to the said Parish of Stains as the Place of her
last legal Settlement which Appeal was appointed by the same Court to be heard on Thursday
the twelfth day of the same Months of September and by virtue of Order made by the same
Court on that day the hearing and determining the Matter of the said Appeal was and
stands adjourned untill this present General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said
County and the said Appeal was appointed to be heard on this present Thursday the twenty
fourth day of October instant Now for as much as this Court is of Opinion to have the learning
of the said Appeal further adjourned It is Ordered by this Court that the hearing and
determining the Matter of the said Appeal be and the same is hereby further adjourned untill the
next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County of Middx And that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of both the said Parishes and all Persons concerned
do attend the Court of the said next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County
by adjournment on Thursdaythe fifthday of December next at ten of
the Clock in the forenoon to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the same
Court touching the said Appeal.
