The humble Petition and Appeal of Adam Stowerds< no role >
Sheweth
That your Petitioner was on or about the twenty fifth day
of July last
upon the information of James Winter< no role >
convicted before Henry Broadhead< no role >
Esqr
. one of his Majesties
Justices of the peace
for the said County of selling or exposeing some Cloaths to
sale contrary to two Acts of Parliament the one made in the fourth
and the other made in the Seventh Year of his late Majestie
King George the first and adjudged to have forfeited certain penalties
mentioned in the said Conviction
That your Petitioner apprehends and is advised
that the said Conviction is illegal and wants form
May it please your Worships to rehear
the said Cause and to grant to your Petitioner
such relief as in your Judgments shall seem
adivseable
And Your Petitioner shall ever pray
