At the general Quarter session of the Peace of our sovereign Lord the King holden
for the County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid
by adjornment on Friday the fifteenth day of October in the sixteenth year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second king of Great Britain Etc . before
John Milner< no role > Charles Egerton< no role > Nathaniel Chandler< no role > John Poulson< no role > Esqrs . and
other their Follows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to Keep the Peace
in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine diverse Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdeeds committed in the same County

Upon hearing of the Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Chalfont St. Peters in the County of Bricks against a Warrant or
Order under the Kands and seals of Samuel Beaver< no role > and Wiliam Miller< no role > Esqr.
two of his Majesty's Justices of Peace (whereof one is of the Quorum) for the said County of Middlesex bearing
date theday of september last whereby John Smith< no role > a soldier Mary
his wife and their three Children (to wit) Elizabeth Smith< no role > aged about 15 Years John< no role >
aged about 14 Years and Mary Smith< no role > s aged about Eleven Years menconed in the said Warrant or were removed and
conveyed from the Hamlet of Hammersmith in the Parish of Fulham in the
County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Chalfont St. Peters called in the said
Warrant Order the Parish of Peters Chafern in the said County of Bucks as the
Eliza Smith & John Smith< no role > the Supposed Childrens
last legal Place of settlement of the said john Smith< no role > Mary his Wife and their
above mentioned
three Children And upon hearing of what was alledged by Councel for the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the saidParish ofHamlet of
Hammersmith and also by Councel for the Churchwardens and overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of Chalfont St. Peters It was alledged by the said Councel
last mentioned that the said Warrant or Order is insufficient in Law and This
Court upon reading aforesaid Varrant or Order doth Quash and vacato the same and the
same is hereby quashed and vacated accordingly
who alledged that the said
Warrant or Order is defective and insufficient in Law and prayed that the
samemightmay be quashed This Court upon reading the aforesaidorder
Warrant or Oder doth quash and vacate the same and the same is
hereby quashed and vacated accordingly.
