Bricklayer Maketh Oath and saith that to the best of his remember an [..]
and belief he this Depont. was bound in A Recognizance to appear in [..]
December Sessions One thousand seven hundred and thirty Six at Hicks
Hall in the County of Middx in order to give Evidence against one A [..]
I field charged with felony for Picking the pocket of one Mathew [..]
of a Silver Snuff box and Handkerchief And this Depont. further [..]
he this Depont. did Accordingly appear and Attend at the said [..]
at Hicks's Hall aforesaid in Order to have given Evidence ag [..]
the said Ann field according to The Tenor of the said Recognizance
untill he this Depont. was not only inform'd that there had been [..]
Bill of Indictmt: proffered against the said Ann Field< no role > but also Assault
by the Prosr. himself that there was no Occasion for his thes De [..]
Attendance any longer for that the Prosr: could do without [..]
Depont: or used word to that or the like effect which the [..]
believing to be true he thereupon departed the Court as he
Apprehended he lawfully might, And this Depont. far [..]
that he the said Prosr: Roode the same Sessions [..]
of Indictmt: against the said I field as he this Depont: is [..]
and believes without this Deponts: being inders'd on the [..]
as A Witness and that the same was found ignoramus a [..]
Depont. is likewise informed and [..] believ's And this Depon [..]
further saith that he hath [..] severall to ords inquired after the said Prosecut [..]
at his the Prosr: Fathers House in Golden Lane (this Depont. [..] by the sd. Prosecutors Father
knowing where else to inquire after him) and was there infor [..]
doth verily believe that the prosecutor was then at [..]
And this Deport about a Week now last past was inform'd by the sd. prosr. [..] Jama [..] aand to the [..] of their Deponts information and be
and doth belive that the sd. Prosecutor he as not yet return'd
