At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our
Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of
Middx at Hicks hall in St. John Street in the County
aforesaid by adjornment on Monday the twenty fifth
day of February in the seventh yeare of the reign of
our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great
Britain France & Ireland Defender of the Faith-
before William Cowper< no role > John Martin< no role > Thomas-
Dummer
< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > Esqrs . & other their
Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
assigned to keep the peace in the County aforesaid
and also the heare & determine divers felonys
trespasses & other evil deeds committed in the
same County,

Whereas Joseph Gould< no role > Tallow Chandler & Jonas
Sibley
< no role > Baker of the parish of St. Luke Late St.
Giles Cripplegate without in this County of Middx
exhibited their humble petition unto the Court of
the last General Quarter Session of the peace holden
for the said County by adjornment or Monday the
third day of December last (which session began &
was holden for this County on Thursday in the week
next after the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel
(to witt) the fourth day of October last and from
there continued by several Adjornments untill
the sd. third day of the said Month of December last)
setting forth That the Petrs. being elected & confirmed
Scavengers for the yeare one thousand seven
hundred & thirty three for that part of Golden
Lane which is in the Lordship Division of the said
parish of St. Giles , and having agreed to pay the-
usual salary of sixty pounds a yeare to the Raker
thereof, applyed to the proper Officers of the said
parish for a Rate Book which they could not obtains
