Overseers of the Poor of the Parish ofSt. James's Dukes

Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish ofSt. Luke in
Old Street in the County of Middlesex unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
One whereof is appointed by Statute to be(Quorum [..] ) for theCountyaforesaid, ThatRobert

lately intrudedthemselvesinto your said Parish of
St. Luke in Old Street
there to inhabit asParishioners contrary to the Laws relat-
ing to the Settlement of the Poor, andarethere like to be
come chargeable, if not timely prevented: And whereas, upon due
Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises,

it appears unto us, we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Robert Dunston< no role > his wife & two Children aforesd

likely to become chargeable unto the said Parish of
and that the last legal Place of

St. James's Dukes place in ye City of London & whether by Law they ought to be Sent

These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Lukeaforesdaforesaid, that you,
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the saidRobert
Duston

from your said Parish ofSt Luke Old Street in
ye County of Middlesex to the said Parish ofSt James's Dukes
place in the City of London andthemdeliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor, there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statues in such Case made, forthwith to
receive the saidRobert Duston< no role > his Wife & two Children aforesd

into the saidParish of St James's Dukes placeand provide forthem
as their own Parishioner. Then under our Hands and Seals, the
