At the General Sessions of the peace of our sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall
in St John street in the County aforesaid by adjournment-
on Thursday the tenth day of may in the sixth yeare
of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King
of Great Britain France & Ireland Defender of the
Faith before William Cooper< no role > John Martin< no role > Thomas
Dummer
< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > Esquires and other their
Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep
the peace in the county aforesaid and also to heare &
determine divers felonys trespasses and other evil deeds-
committed in the Same County,

whereas the Church wardens & overseers ot the poor of-
the parish of St James Clerkenwell in this County-
exhibited their humble petition & appeale unto the
Court of the last General Quarter sessions of the peace
holden for said County by adjournment on
Wednesday the fourth day of April last setting forth-
that by an Order under the hands & seales of John
Tarver
< no role > & John Venner< no role > Esqrs two of his Maties Justices of
the peace for the said County (one of them being of the-
Quorum) bearing date the seventh day of March last
Abigail Hayes< no role > single woman was removed from
the parish of Twickenham in the said County to the
said parish of St James Clerkenwell in the said County
as the peace of her last legal settlement, And that the

Petrs thinking themselves aggreived by the said order
& Judgement of the said two Justice of the peace did
appeale to the said Court against the same And
where as by an Order made by the Said Court on the
said fourth day of April last the hearing & determining
of the said appeale was adjourned Untill this present
General Sessions of the peace holden for this County, and
was asthe matter of the said appeale was appointed to
