Whereas it appeareth unto us, two of his Majefty's Justices of
the Peace for the Said County ofMiddlesex (Quor Unus) by the
Complaint of the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofSt: Giles's Cripplegate without in the saidCountythat
Edmund Carlile< no role > with his four Children Viz: Lettisse< no role >
nine years old, Margaret< no role > aged seven years; Elizabeth< no role > aged
about five year and Edmund< no role > aged about three years & Apall, are
lately come, and Intru [..] into the saidParish of St: Giless Cripp [..]
-gate without Endavouring to gain a Settlement there contrary, to Law
andare now [..] become a great Charge to the saidparish
which we adjudge to be true, and whereas,upon the examination
of the sd Edmund Carlise< no role > taken upon Oath before us the
said Justices
it appears unto us, That the saidEdmund Carlise< no role > was
last legally Settled in the saidParish
of St. Bartholemew the great in London and thathe hath
notSince gained any legal Settlement
elfewhere: Therefore, We the said Justices, upon the Proof aforesaid, and other
Circumstances, do Adjudge and Deem the Place of the last legal Settlement
of the saidEdmund Carlile< no role > with his four Children aforesd:
to be in the saidParish ofSt. Bartholemew the great
and wither by Lawtheyought to be sent.

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, strictly to Charge and
command [..] Said Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor
of the saidParish of St Giles Cripplegate [..] or either of you,
forthwith to remove and convey the saidEdmund Carlile< no role > with
Lettisse, Margaret, Elizabeth and Edmund his Children
from and out of your saidparishofSt: Giles's Cripplegate [..] in and
to the saidParishofSt. Bartholemew the great in London
and deliverthem(together with this Precept) to the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor there, or some, or one of them, who are hereby
required to receive and provide forthemaccording to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals, the 22d. Day ofJulyin the
fifthYear of the Reign of our SovereignLord George ye felon
by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, [..] Defender
of the Faith, Etc. Anno Domini 1731
