WHEREAS it appeareth unto us, two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the said County of Midd. (Quor Unus) by the Com-
plaint of the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
parishofSt James Clerkenwell in the said County, that
Jane Dagger< no role > Singlewoman is

lately come, and Intended into the saidparishofSt James Clerkenwell
Endeavouring to gain a Settlement there contrary to Law,
andis likebecome a great Charge to the saidparish
which we adjudge to be true, and, Whereas, upon the Examination of
the sd Jane Dagger< no role > taken upon Oath, it appears to us, that the
saidJane Dagger< no role > was last legally Settled in theparish
ofSt Mary Magdalen [..] sey
[..] in theCounty of Surry and,
thatthehath not since obtained any legal Settlement elsewhere:
Therefore, We the said Justices, upon the Proof aforesaid, and other Circum-
stances, do Adjudge and Deem, the Place of the la [..] Settlement of the
said [..] to be in the saidofSt Mary [..]

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, strictly to Charge and
Command you and every of you forthwith, upon Sight hereof, to re-
move and convey the saidJane Dagger< no role >

from and out of the saidparishofSt James Clerkenwell
in and to the saidparishofSt Mary Magdalen Bermondsey

in thesd County of Surryand deliverher
(together with this Precept) to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor, there or some, or one of them, who are hereby required to receive, and
provide forheraccording to Law. Hereof fail not at your Pe-
rills. Given under our Hands and Seals, thisNineteenthDay ofJanuary
in theEleventhYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE,
by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland, King Defender
