To the Right Worshipfull The
Justices of the peace of the County of
Middx in Generall Quarter Sessions
Assembled.

The humble petition of Cecilia Fiennes< no role > an
Inhabitant of the parish of St. Jamess. Clerkenwell
in the said County of Middx .

Sheweth.


That your petitioner humbly apprehends herselfe to be
agreived by the taxation or Assessment Assessed or taxed on her
by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish
of St. Jamess. Clerkenwell in pursuance of the authority given [..]
them in & by the Statute made in the three and [..]
the reign of Queen Elizabeth for that they have not [..]
taxed your peticoner according to a pound rate of the re [..]
the house wherein she Inhabitts in the said parish but have
also taxed her for her store for which as your peticoner is advised
& humbly apprhends they the said Churchwardens and Overseers
have not the least foundation or colour of Authority either by
the said before menconed Act or by any other Subsequent Act
whatsoever

Wherefore yor. peticoner Appeals from
the said Sesse or tax unto such Order and
determination therein as by your Worshipps
on the hearing of your peticoners case shall
be thought convenient and reasonable
And humbly prays your Worshipps to
appoint a short day for to hear your peticon.
& the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
said parish in the premisses & your peticon
shall ever pray Etc.
