The Place of Keeper of Bridewell at Clarkenwell
being vacant by ye death of Mr Boreman the late
keeper. & it having been always usual for The Curter
Botulorum of ye county of Middlesex to recommend
a Person to the Justices of ye Peace for that Place
I hope My Recommendation of ye Bearse hereof
Mr Quinny for that Place, for whose Honesty &
Integrity I my self will to responsable, will or
as favoratly receiv'd by you as those if My
Pr [..] have been here to fore. I flatter My self
I have no reason to doubt of Your Complyance in
