And that there fore and fore as much as the Sd. Stephen did then & there in
manner aforesaid break the Sd. Viall & Spill the Sd. Low Wines or Spiritts as
aforesd. And that Fore as much as at that time & in the condicon the Sd. Still then
was in no other way or means could be used to see that the sd. Low Wines or
Spiritts then & there distilling as aforesd. were then & there drawn without Such
mixture as aforesd. for the Sd. Stephen did then & there hinder the sd. James Such
Officer as aforesd. then & there being in the execucon of the powers & Authorities
to such Officer given in & by the Statute in such made contrary of the forme of the
Statute where by the sd Stephen for feited twenty pounds of lawfull money of
Great Britaine And that there upon the sd. Charles Parry< no role > who as well Etc humbly
prayd the Judgment of us the sd. Justices in ye Sd. premisses And that he might
have One Moiety of the Sd. Forfeiture according to the forme of the Statute
in Such case made And the Sd. Stephen Ribelean< no role > might be Sumoned So Answer ye
to make defence there to before no the Sd Justices unto Yr: Informacon the sd [..] Ribelean (being duely Sumonyed
Sd. Premisses Audided appeare before us the Sd. Justices at the house of M:
Charles Annden< no role > [..] being a publick house & knowne by
the Signe of the Red Lyon at Brentford within the sd. County on the
day of december in the 12th. Yeare of her now Maties. Reigne Etc at
[..] of the Clerkin the fore noone of the Same day according to the
Command of the Sd. Summons And then & there pleaded not Guilty to the Said
Informacon The same day hour & place being given to the sd. Charles Parry< no role >
who foll as well for her Sd. Maties. as for himselfe who then & there like wise
appeared before us the Sd. Justices. Now Upon a full hearing of the Sd.
Informacon at the place last menconed on the Sd.day of December
& of the matters & things there in contained & all that hath been offered
as well on ye part & behalfe of the Sd. Informant as the Sd. Dept & their
Witnesses concerning the Same And Fore as much as it there upon appears
to us that the Said Stephen on the Sd. twelfth day of Novembr. last past did
So obstruct & hinder the Sd. James Leroo< no role > from Seeing whether the Sd. Low
Wines or Spiritts then & there distilling in the Sd. Still as aforesaid were
then & there drawn without such mixture as aforesd. in manner & as in the
Sd. Informacon is Set forth & expressed Wee the said Justices upon due Consideracon
had of the premisses & of the proofe there of made by Credible Witnesses Upon Oath
And of the penaltyes & for feitures appointed by the Statute to be in that Case inflicted
Doe by Vertue there of & of the powers & Authorities to us in that behalfe given
Adjudge the Sd. Stephen Ribelean< no role > Guilty of the premisses in the Sd. Informacon
charged upon him in manner & for me as in the sd. Informacon is Set forth and
expressed And We the Sd. Justices do herd by convict the Sd. Stephen & he is convicted
of the Offence aforesd. is ye Informacord aforesd charged & Specifyed And We doe Order
adjudge declare & determine that the sd. Stephen for the Offence aforesaid hath
for feited & lost & doth for feite & lose the Sume of 20l. of lawfull money of
Great Britaine to be levyed upon his goods & Chattells One Moiety there of to
be to the Use of our Soveraigne Lady the Queen And the other Moiety [..]
here of to be to the Use of the sd. Charles Parry who as well Etc according to
the State in that Case made Given under Our hands & Seals in the
Limitts & County aforesd. the Saidday of [..]
