Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us Robert Kyrby< no role > Thomas Frampton< no role > and Bastwick Johnson< no role >
Esqrs three of her Majties. Justices of the peace for the sayd County of Middx (Quorum unus) resideing next
unto the limits of the parish Church of the parish of St. Paul Shadwell in the sayd County And it appeareth
unto us upon the sayd Complaint That Barbara Hendy< no role > single woman was on Monday in Easter week
being the Second day of Aprill last past delivered of a Male bastard Child in the sayd Parish of St. Paul
Shadwell which is become chargeable to the sayd Parish And whereas it further appears unto us
the sayd Justices as well by the Examination of one Martha Lombar< no role > Midwife to the sayd Barbara
Hendy
< no role > att the birth of the sayd Male bastard Child taken upon Oath before us as alsoe by diverse other
good proofes and circumstances That one John Robere< no role > als Lovere< no role > a Frenchman in or near Spittlefields
markett is the putative [..] Father of the sayd Male bastard Child Wee therefore doe adjudge him the sayd
John Robere< no role > als Lovere< no role > to be the putative [..] Father of the sayd Male bastard Child And doe order him the sayd John

< no role > als Lovere< no role > to pay or cause to be payd unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Paul Shadwell or to Some or one of them the sume of five [..] pounds three Shillings of
lawfull money of Great Brittain on demand thereof the sayd Saml being already disbursed and paid
by the sayd Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor, of the Parish of St. Paul Shadwell above said
for the keeping and maintaining the sayd Male Bastard Child and the sayd Barbara Hendy< no role > in her lying
[..] of the same the being unable to provide for mid help her self and [..] were doe Order the sayd John
of [..] Lovere to pay or [..] weeks by and every we [..] from the date hereof unto the
[..] Churchwardens and Overseers [..] Parish of St. Paul Shadwell and their Su [..]
of [..] Male Bastard Child [..] of two Shillings and Six pounds [..] of like lawfull money
of Great Brittain and the pay me [..] thereof Continue soe long [..] the sayd Male Bastard Child Shall
be a charge to the sayd Parish except the sayd John Rovere als Lovere shall otherwise discharge the
sayd Parish of such charge and burthen as shall any manner orwise accrew thereunto by reason or
means of the sayd Male Bastard Child And lastly wee doe Order the sayd John Rovere als Lovere to
give Sufficient Security to the sayd Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of St.
Paul Shadwell above sayd for the due performance of this our Order Given under Burhands
