and that they be impowered to oppose all attempts in parliament
that may affect the Interest of this County on the St. James Hay
Market or deprive the Justices of their Controul which for the lenf [..]
of the Public they have over the same and to give such orders as may
be necessary to enforce the Laws relating thereto and that the said
Committee do meet at Hicks Hall on Friday next the 20th. Instant
at 12 O Clock at Noon and that they do meet and adjourn at
pleasure and do report the proceedings to the Court from time
to time which Motion being agreed to the same was and is
hereby Ordered by the Court in all Respects accordingly

By adjournment same day

The following Report of the Committee appointed to carrying
immediate and Effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison and Clerken [..]
Bridewell being laid before this Court and the same being Read Article
Article in the following Order Vizt.

To his Majestys Justices of the peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Quarter
Session of the peace to be holden (by adjournment
on Thursday the 12th. day of Janry 1775 at Hick
Hall in Saint John Street in and for the said
County assembled

The Report of the Committee of his Majestys Justices
the peace appointed for the immediate and Effectual Repair
of New Prison and Clerkenwell Bridewell

The said Committee Report

That having taken into Consideration the manner in which the
Mens Court Yard at New Prison should be paved and Mr. Rogers
recommending that the same should be paved with Purbeck or Kentish
Squares not less than four Inches and an half deep to be set in
Skreened Gravel and having Estimated the expense at about Eighty
Pounds The Committee are of Opinion that the Clerk do forthwith
insert in the public papers a proper advertisement in Order to obtain
proposals for the immediate performance of the said Work

A Motion was now made that this Court do agree with their Committee
in this part of the Report and the same being Resolved It is Ordered that so much of the said Report
as [..] and be Confirmed and [..] same it hereby [..] and [..] The Committee
further Report

That having taken into Consideration the building of a Convenient
and Substantial Shed in a Commodious part of the Mens Court [..]
