By adjournment on Wednesday the 20th July 1774
It is ordered that the Election of Surveyors under the Act lately passed for
regulating Buildings Etc be by Ballot on Friday next the 22d Instant and
that advertisements be inserted three times in three of the Daily Papers giving
public Notice thereof and informing that the ballot will begin at 12 o' Clock
precisely.
The Clerk of the Peace having informed this Court that William Hamilton< no role >
one of the Candidates for the Office of Surveyor under the Act for regulating
Buildings Etc had withdrawn the Certificate of his abilities and Character
and has given him authority to declare that he no longer considers himself
as a Candidate for the Office It is ordered that the Name of William
Hamilton< no role >
be not inserted in the List of Candidates for the Office of Surveyor
under the said Act for regulating Buildings Etc

At this Court the following report of the Committee appointed to consider
into howmany Districts that part of the County of Middlesex
mentioned
in the Act lately passed for regulating Buildings Etc shall be divided and
to examine into such Petitions and Certificates as should be delivered by the
several Candidates for the Office of Surveyor under the said Act being read
vizt

their Session Assembled
The Report of the Committee of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
appointed to consider into howmany Districts
that part of the County of Middlesex
mentioned in the Act of Parliament
lately passed for regulating Buildings Etc shall be divided and to examine
into such Petitions and Certificates as should be delivered by the several
Candidates for the Office of Surveyor under the said Act
The said Committee Report
That having taken into consideration the Orders of Referrence to
this Committee vizt 1st howmany Districts that part of the County of Middlesex
mentioned in the Act of Parliament lately passed for regulating Buildings Etc
shall be divided and 2dbs to examine such Petitions and Certificates as have
been left with the Clerk of the Peace
from the several Candidates for the
Office of Surveyor under the said Act the said Comittee resolved To
Recommend it to this Court to form that part of the Hundred of Ossulston
which is called the Tower
Division into six Districts that part of the said
