Finsbury Divisn .

At this Same Court Joseph Keeling< no role > Esqr . Reported from the Justices
residing in Finsbury Division that they had met together at HicksHall
in order to fix on a Rotation And would endeavour to form One with
All Convenient Speed agreeable to that already formed in the
Tower Division But Mr. Keeling observed that there are but very
Few Justices Acting in this Division.

Holborn Division.

Saunders Welch< no role > Esqr . then informed this Court that he
will Endeavour with the other Gentlemen in the Comission
Acting in Holbourn Division to fix a proper Rotation within
that Division as soon as a proper place of Meeting can be
obtained Which this Court doth accordingly recommend.

Report of the
Comittee about
Salaries to the
Prison Keeps}

At this Court the Report of the Comittee of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this County to whom it was referred to consider of
reasonable Salaries to be given to the Keepers of New Prison &
the House of Correction at Clerkenwell in heir of Fees and whether
such Salaries might not be raised on the County wasreaddelivered
in and read as follows

To the Worshipfull His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their General Sessions Assembled

The Report of the Committee of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the
County aforesaid Appointed by Order of this Court at the last Session to
consider of reasonable Salaries to be given to the Keepers of New Prison
and House of Correction in lieu of Fees and Whether such Salaries may
not be raised in the County

Your Committee met in pursuance of the said Order of Court at the time
and place therein mentioned and took into their Consideration the aforesaid
Matters to them referred and made some enquiry into the necessary Charge
of keeping the Prisons particularly the House of Correction and Adjourned
the further consideration thereof until Saturday the Seventh day of this Instant
May when they met again pursuant to such Adjournmt. and procceded further
therein but by reason of difficulties concerning the taking away the Antient
and Accustomed Fees claimed and received by the said Gaolers and the
Application of the County Rate Money in satisfaction thereof your Comittee
after several Debates Adjourned till Wednesday next after Whitsun Week
All which your Comittee Submites

Order thereon

Whereupon it was Moved and Seconded that the Order of Referrence
mentioned in the foregoing-report be discharged and after some Debate
concerning the same It was thought fit And Ordered that the said Order of the
last Session be and the same is hereby discharged accordingly
