By adjornment on Tuesday the 15th. Day of July 1746 .

Order for painting Work and
other Matters to be done to
Hicks hall under the
Direction of Boulton
Mainwaring Esqr.}

Whereas by an Order made by this Court on Thursday the third
Day of July instant It was Ordered that the Great Dining Room
and the lesser Dining Room of Hicks Hall Should be painted, and
that Some other Matters Should be done at Hicks hall as Should be
found necessary, And It was by the Said Order recommended unto
a Committee of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace of this County therein
mentioned or any three or more of them (whereof Boulton Mainwaring< no role >
Esqr . who was appointed Chairman of the Said Committee to be one) to
meet to gether at Hickshall, and to take to their Assistance Such
Skilfull Person< no role > on Persons as they Should think fit, And to See what
painting Work or other Matters were necessary to be done to Hicks hall
and to make an Estimate of the Charge there of, And to make their
Report touching the Same unto this Court, And Whereas
Boulton Mainwaring< no role > , Francis Hole< no role > & William Withers< no role > Esqrs . being
a Quorum of the Said Committee have by their Report in Writing
under their hands certifyed unto this Court that they have met
together at Hicks hall pursuant to the Said Order there being attending
upon them Several Workman, to wit, Mr.Allen Painter< no role >
Mr.Bass Plaisterer , Mr. Thomas Williams< no role > Glazier
and Several other Workmen, And that upon viewing what
Painters Work & other Matters are necessary to be done at Hicks hall
aforesaid the Said Mr. Allen proposed to do the Painters Work Mr.
Bass the Plaisterers Work & Mr. Williams the Glaziers Work at
Hicks hall Specifyed in the Account or Estimate annexed to the
Said Report at the respective Prices therein mentioned, which
Prices the Said Committee adjudged to be reasonable (a Copy of
which Account or Estimate is here under written) And the Said
Committee thougth It proper that the Iron Shutters of the
Record Room at Hicks Hall Should be Scraped and the Rust
taken off, and that the Same Should be painted for the Preservation
thereof, and that the Charge of painting the Same would be
comprized in the Said Estimate of the Painters Work, And that
as to what other Matters are proper to be done to Hicks hall in the
Busyness of a Carpenter , Bricklayer or Plumber the Same would
be jobbing Work, and the Value thereof cannot be ascertained until
