By adjornment on Thursday the third Day of July 1746 .

Order for Justices to mention
an Words at length the Sums
by them Ordered to be paid
for apprehending Vagabonds
Etc.}

It is Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby
recommended unto every Justice of the Peace of this County who Shall
think fit and proper to reward any Constable or other Person for
conveying to him any Vagrant Vagabond or incorrigible Rogue
to be proceeded against in Such Manner as is directed by an Act of
Parliament made in the Seventeenth year of his present Majesty's
Reign, Intituled, An Act to amend and make more effectual the
Laws relating to Rogues Vagabonds and other idle & disorderly
Persons and to Houses of Correction By making an Order underthe
Hand & Seal for payment of the Sum of ten Shillings to the Person
So apprehending Such Vagabond & incorrible Rogue That in
Such cafe the Said Justice do insert in Such Order whether the
Person So apprehended be a Vagabond or incorrigible Rogue, and
that he or She hath no legal Settlement in the Parish of Place
where apprehended, And that the Sum Ordered by any Justice of
the Peace to be paid to any Person in pursuance of the Said Act be
written in Words at length.

By adjornment on Thursday the third Day of July 1746.

Order that no Utensils be
provided nor Repairs done
at the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell without an
Order of Court or Direction
of two or more Justices.}

It is Ordered by this Court that no Blocks, Beetles, Irons
Bazills, Rivetts Handcuffs or other Utensils be provided nor any
Repairs be hereafter done for or at the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell in this County without an Order of Court for that Purpose
or the Direction (in Case of any urgent Occasion) of two or more
Justices of the Peace of the Said County in Such behalf given, who
are desired to certifie the Same to the next Sessions.

Application being made unto this Court by Charles
Wainwright Smith< no role > praying that this Court will please to Order that
he may be paid the Sum of two Pounds four Shillings and four Pence
for Smiths Work by him done in & about divers & Sundry Reparations
which were wanting & necessary to be done to the House of Correction [..]
Clerkenwell in this County, and also praying that this Court will be
Pleased to Order the further Sum of two Pounds and two Shillings to be
paid to him for twelve pair of Double Jointed Hand Cuffs with four keys
by him made for the more Safe keeping of unruly Prisoners Committed
