I Send you here enclosed a Copy of a Letter from the Lords
of His Majestys most Honourable Privy Council directed to me
as Custos Rotulorum of the County of Middlesex
and City and
Liberty of Westminster
, Signifying His Majestys Pleasure, that
I Should recomend it in the Strongest manner to the Justices
of the peace for the Said County, and the Said City and Liberty,
to employ their utmost Care and Vigilance, and to prevent
and Suppress all riotus and other unlawfull Assamblys,
and all Combinations, and Confederacys, that Shall be
entered into, to encourage a Disobedience there to I am
therefore in Obedience to

's Comands to desire
you would forthwith communicate to the Said Letter to
the Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
that They
may take effectual Care that
His Majesty< no role >
's Commands
contained in it may be punctually obeyed I am persuaded
their Zeal for His Majestys Service as well, as Regard

duefor the due execution of the Laws will be Sufficient to
induce them to make use of the Authority with which
they are invseted, for procuring due Obdience to the
Said Laws, wherein the Honour of
His Majesty< no role >

Government
, and the Preservation of the Peace Health,
and Safety of His Subjects are So much concerned. - And
I am to desire, that the Justices do from time to time
transmit to me a particular Account of their
Proceedings, inserting the Names of these Justices, that
attend their meetings and of the Peace Officers whom
they Shall employ, that it may be laid before
