the enforceing the
Execucon of an Order
agt. Justices Clerks
Solliciting for Defts.
at the Sessions

Whereas by an Order made at the Generall Sessions
of the Peace holden for this County by adjornment
on Thursday the Twenty first day of May One
thousand Seven hundred and twenty four It is
therein recited that the Clerks to severall Justices
of the Peace for this County had of late Yeares
Sollicited at the severall Generall and Quarter
Sessions of the Peace held for this County for
Persons Indicted for Trespasses Frauds and
Misdemeanors and in other Matters cognizable
at the said Sessions, And that some of the said
Clerks had committed irregularitys and used
indirect Practices, whereby the Prosecucons on
such Indictments had proved in effectuall and the
Persons for whom they were concerned had been
very much Injured, It was for Prevention of
such Sollicitations of the said Clerks and of
such Irregularitys and inconveniencys for the
future Ordered by the Court that noe Clerk to any
of the Justices of the Peace for this County should
Sollicite for any Persons Indicted or to be
Indicted or any other Defendant at any Generall
or Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be held for this
County, And to the end that all Persons concerned
might have Notice thereof It was further Ordered
by the Court that the said Order should be fixed
up upon one of the Pillars of the Court and alsoe
upon the Outward Gates thereof, Now upon
Information given into this Court that the said Order
hath not been soe well Observed by the Clerks to
the Justices of the Peace for this County as the same
ought to have been, This Court doth Order that the
said Order be taken into Consideration on Thursday
the Twenty second day of May next being the
County day of the next Generall Sessions of the
