unto his Maties Justices of the peace for this County
residing within the hundred of Edmonton in the said County
to examine if the said Nicholas Ludford< no role > had duely performed
the service of passing and conveying of Vagrants as he
ought to have done And if any and what Sume of Money
was due to him for the said Service, and to make their report
in writing touching the premisses unto this Court on this
present Thursday the thirteenth day of January instant
being the County day of this present Generall Quarter Sessions,
Now upon report made [..] unto this Court by the right honble
Henry Lord Colerane George Bourne< no role > Abraham Addams< no role >
Henry Coltman< no role > James Brain< no role > William Gould< no role > Honor at Smith< no role >
and James Colebrook< no role > Esqrs Justices of the peace for this County
residing within the said hundred of Edmonton that they
have examined (as far as in them lies) And find that the said
Nicholas Ludford< no role > hath duely performed the Service of
passing and conveying of Vagrants as he ought to have
done, and that there is due to him the Sume of Twenty pounds
at Christmas now last for the said Service, This Court upon
consideration had of the said Report Doth ratify and
confirm the same, And doth Order that it be and It is hereby
recomended and referred to the same Comittee of Justices
residing within the said Hundred of Edmonton to examine
and inform themselves by such ways and means as they
shall think proper if the conveying of Vagrants in and
through this County cannot be done and performed cheaper
and at a less expence to this County than the same hath
been and is now done for, And also to Order and direct the
said Nicholas Ludford< no role > or any person to be appointed to
succeed him in the said busyness of conveying of Vagrants
to produce and bring in before the Court of Sessions of the
peace for this County an account of the passes whereby such
Vagrants shall be conveyed and of the number of the same
from whence and whither passed and how many miles and
of the prices at which the said Vagrants shall be passed and
conveyed for the year ensueing to the intent that such
account may be inspected and perused by the Court, And
the said Comittee of Justices are hereby desired to certify
