Order to inquire
touching the alteracon
made in an Order
of Sessions

It is Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby
recommended and referred unto the Right Honourable the
Lord Pasley< no role > Sir John Gouson< no role > Sir Daniel Dolins< no role > Sir Henry
Penrice Sr. Isaac Tillard< no role > Knights John Milner< no role > This name instance is in set 4214. Robert Thornhill< no role >
Giles Erle< no role > Edward Ridley< no role > Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > William Wickham< no role >
and Gwin Vaughan< no role > Esquires Justices of the Peace for this
County or any five of them as a Committee to inquire
when and how and by whom the severall words following
(Vizt.) Unless he shall be Reelected and Appointed high
Constable by the Justices of the Peace for this County
to be Assembled at the Generall Quarter Sessions of
the Peace to be holden for the said County, were obliteratd:
out of an Order made at the Generall Quarter Sessions
of the Peace holden for this County by adjornment on
Thursday the Fifteenth day of January One thousand
Seven hundred and eighteen Whereby It was Ordered
that noe High Constable in this County should
thereafter Continue in his Office of high Constable
above the space of Three Yeares, And to make their
Report unto this Court on Thursday next,

not to continue above
3 Years in their Office
to be a Standing Order
of the Court,

Whereas by Order made at the Generall Quarter
Sessions of the Peace holden for this County by
adjornment on Thursday the Fifteenth day of January
One Thousand seven hundred and Eighteen It was
Ordered that noe High Constable in this County
should thereafter Continue in his Office of High
Constable above the space of Three Yeares, It is
Ordered by this Court that the aforesaid Order
shall be a Standing Order of the Court,
