An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say at the parish of Saint Stephen Coleman Street in the Ward
of Coleman street in London aforesaid on the twentieth day of May in the thirty sixth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City
of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of a male infant child now here lying dead by the oath of Isaac Akerman< no role > John Coleman< no role >

now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said male infant Child
came to his death say upon their oath that a certain person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown not having the fear of God before his her or
their eyes but being moved and seduced by the instigation of the Devil on the eighteenth day of May in the year aforesaid at the parish
aforesaid in the Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid in and upon the said male infant Child in the peace of God and our said
Lord the King then and there being feloniously willfully and of his her or their malice aforethought did make un assault And
that the said person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown with his her or their hands him the said infant child in and
upon the head of him the said infant child did then and there feloniously wilfully and of his her or their malice aforethought
strike and beat And that the said person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown did then and there feloniously wilfully
and of his here or their malice aforethought give unto him the said infant child by such striking and beating of him the
said infant child as aforesaid two mortal fractures of the scull of him the said infant child of which said mortal fractures of
the scull the said male infant child did then and there die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say
that the said person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown him the said male infant child in manner and by the
means aforesaid feloniously wilfully and of his her or their malice of aforethought did kill and murder against the peace of our said
Lord the King his Crown and dignity And that the said person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown at the time of committing the
felony and murder aforesaid had no goods or chattels Lands or Tenements within the City of London or elsewhere to the knowledge
of the said Jurors And that the said person or persons to the Jurors aforesaid unknown after he she or they had
done and committed the felony and murder aforesaid in manner and form aforesaid withdraw himself herself or themselves
and fled for the same In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Jurors to this Inquisition have hereunto
set their hands and seals the day year and place first abovewritten.
