The Information of Richard Taylor< no role > of Custom house Court
Beer Lane London Yeoman taken upon Oath before me William
Pickett
< no role > Esqr. Mayor of the City of London and One His Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said City this 5th. day of December 1789 .

Who being upon Oath saith that yesterday after near he was
Employed in RollingLandingSugars at Dice they and that [..] a few
Minutes after he had left [..] the Casks of Sugar he saw a panel
of loose Sugar lying on the Ground and that he immediately went
up to the Casks and saw the person now present who Calls himself
Samuel Sanders< no role > Standing near the sugar whom he Immediate
seized and found upon him a Bag containing Eighteen
pounds Weight of Moist Sugar now produced and Informant further Saith
that he verily believes the Sugar so found in the possesion of
the said Samuel Sanders< no role > was felandurly stolen by him out of due
of the said Casks upon Vice Key aforesaid

Cooper taken upon Oath before me William Pickett< no role > Esqr . Mayor of the City
of London and one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said City this 5th day
of December 1789 .

Who being upon Oath says that the Sugar now produced
he verily beleives to be the property of John Thornton< no role > Esqr .How [..]
