The Informant
Titus Bearcroft< no role >
Saith that on Saturday the fifth
Instant between the Hours of Seven and Eight O'Clock in the Evening
at he was in the Yard at the Bell Inn
in Friday Street
he saw a
Man with a Truss or Package on his Shoulder going towards the
Gateway when he asked what Truss it was having no Answer he
pursued the said Man when he dropped the said Truss in the Gateway
which he picked up as the said Man ran away, but he saw only his Back

Saith that on Saturday the 5th. Instant
coming out of his Masters House in Friday Street
he heard the cry of
Stop Thief which he found proceeded from the Bell Inn
when he
immediately crossed over to the End of the Gateway and saw a Man with a
Truss on his Shoulder which he threes off and ran away up the Street as far
as Angel Court
where he stopped and turned back and Walked down the
Street to Walling Street
where this Informant
saw a Young Lord who he
acquainted
himwith the Matter and they together apprehended him and
that he never lost sight of the said Man and is

he heard the
ory of Stop Thief when he turned round and saw a Man drop a Truss
& then ran away upon which he pursued him and never lost Sight of
him

coming out of his Masters House he heard the cry of Stop Thief and
immediately after was told by

that a Man had dropped a
