Who being on Oath severally
say And First the said
Arthur Downes< no role >
For himself saith,
that Yesterday Afternoon about three O'Clock, he was
siding at the desk in the Compting House of the said John
Nickson, and he perceiving a Man whose back was towards
him go out of the Warehouse with a Parcel under his Arm,
Informant
instantly went out in pursuit of him, but being
lane he told the other Informant
Mitchel to Follow
the Man who was just gone out of the Warehouse with
some Goods Presently afterwards, the Informant
Mitchel came back with the Prisoner
now under
Examination

Quilting now produced Informant
verily believes the Prisoner
is the same Person whom he
saw going out of the Warehouse in manner aforesaid, and
who, he believes, did Feloniously steal the said Piece of
Quilting now produced, which is of the Value of Forty
Shillings, and the Property of the said
