Informations taken this 30th.31stday
of December 1782 at the Parish of Chirst
Church in the Ward of Farringdon
with in upon an Inquisition on View
of the Body of John Hardy< no role > then and
there lying dead.

Mary Ducrow< no role > Spinster Servant to the deceased at the time
of his Death maketh oath and saith that on Sunday last the
2928th. day of December one Daniel Mc. Genniss< no role > who lodged
in the Back Room of the two Pair of stairs Floor of the deced's
Dwelling having after being a bread returned home between
the Home of 5 and 6 in the Eveningand on his entering his
Apartment.
Dept. went [..] with him withhima lighted
Candle to his Apartmt. to light his Candle which being done
Dept took the Tea things he had usedhisat Beach fast
and brought them down presently after which as Dept.
was about to set down in the Parlour upon the Ground Floor
to drink Tea with the deced. and his wife she heard something
fall upon the Sky Light over the placed where theywere they
were going to drink Tea which afterward appeared to be
[..] [..] on Piss contained in the Chamber Pett of the sd. Daniel
Mr. Gennis; that thereupon the deced. immediatly rase from
the Chair he was siting on and taking a Candle in his Hand
immediatly went up stairs to the sd. Mr. Genniss's apartmt.
where Dept. heard loud word pass between the deced. and the sd.
Mr. Genniss but Dept. could not dinking with any words
particularly; that the deced. presently came down part of the
stairs and Dept. standing at the Parlour Door saw the deced.
[..] coming down that first [..] Pair stairs, during
which time Dept. heard the sd. Mr. Gennis call the deced. a Theif
twice and charged the deced with having robbed him its which
the deced. forming up stairs asked sd. Mr. Gennisif thedo you say so, I will make
you prove it, I will have you before a Justices tomorrow , and
immediately afterwds. Dept. heard the land which and land to which
the deced had in his Hand Fall upon the Landing place of the
stairs near the Kitchen, immediately on which one Eddie
them [..] standing with the [..] Wife and Dept. [..] to the deced. Dept. following her and Dept. saw the deced. lying on
his Back on the Floor [..] of the Landing place his Head
lying in the Kitchen and his Legs on the Landing place and
Dept. thinking the deced to be in a Fit the raised [..] up his Head
and the sd. Lancashire saying the saw blood abt. the deced the
deced.'s wife in Dept. presance in buttoned his Waistcoat when
Dept. said a Wound upon the left side of this [..] Breast and much
Blood issuing from it and his wife taking off her [..]
applied to the Wound and says that in stantly affer Dept. [..]
had raised the deced.'s Head up as aforesd. he gave one Gas in and
expiredthat Mr. [..]
same [..] says that whilst the deced lay dead and Dept. was raising
him she tread sd. Mr. Genniss cry out four the Window of his Lodging
that a Mar was murdered and furr. Dept. [..] not. And Dept. fur.
say that the deced had notduringwhich he is and up stair is this of the sd.
[..] anything in his Hard Save the sd. land which and Candle
