holden for the City of London
at the Guildhall
within the said
City on Monday the fourth day of December in the Twenty first
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King
of Great Britain Etc
Whereas the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Bromley
in the County of Kent
have exhibited their Petition and
Appeal to this Court Setting forth that by Virtue of a pass Warrant or
Order under the Hands and Seals of Two of His Majesty< no role >
's Justices of
the Peace for the City of London
and Liberties thereof (one being of the
Quorum) bearing date the fourteenth day of November last Mary
the Wife of William Mathews< no role >
a Sailor
in His Majestys Service and
their three Children namely Mary Ann< no role >
aged Ten Years, William
aged Seven Years and Margaret< no role >
aged Two Years were removed and
conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint Andrew Hubbard in the
City of London
to the said Parish of Bromley
in the County of Kent
as the place of their last legal Settlement And that the Petitioners
conceiving themselves aggrieved thereby humbly appealed against
the same Wherefore at the Request of the Petitioners His Ordered
that the Benefit of the said appeal be Saved unto them and that the
hearing and determination thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned
unto the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for the
said City at the Guildhall
aforesaid on Tuesday the Ninth day of
January now next ensuing at eight of the Clock in the Morning and
that due Notice hereof be given to the Church Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Andrew Hubbard
