At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden for the City of
London
at the Guildhall
within the said City on Monday the Seventeenth Day of
May in the Nineteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
third King of Great Britain Etc.
Whereas the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Saint Andrew Holborn
in the City of London
have exhibited their Petition
and appeal to this Court Setting forth that by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City of London
(one
being of the Quorum) bearing Date the Fifteenth Day of May Instant Mary
Salkill Singlewoman
was removed and convey from the Parish of Saint
Andrew by the Wardrobe London to the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
as the place of her last legal Settlement and that the Petitioners conceiving
themselves agrieved by the said Order and Judgment of the said Two Justices
humbly appealed against the same Wherefore at the Request of the said
Petitioners It is Ordered that the Benefit of the said Appeal be saved unto
them and that the hearing and Determination thereof be and the Same is hereby
adjourned unto the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden
for the said City at the Guildhall
aforesaid on Monday the Fifth Day of July
next at Eight of the Clock in the Morning and that due Notice thereof be given
unto the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Andrew by the Wardrobe.
