"The Examon of the said Mary Nutcher to her the 13th. day of Decr. 1777
"This Exam. on her Oath saith that her said Husband hath informed her and which Information she cor. to be
"true, that in the year 1766 he lived as a hire yearly servant with Mr. John Powditch< no role >
in the Parish of
"Saint Stephen in Walbrook
in this City and received of him wages for one year and Lived with him one
"year and upwards whilst he was Single man
and hath not gained any subsequently Settlement to the knowledge
"of this Examinant

Cowditch died some time ago but Mr. Cowditch will prove that Francis Nutcher< no role >
was not their
Servant un did they pay him wages a provide Cloath a band for him other but what they were paid fr [..]
The fact, is A.W. Johnson (who likewise had a place in the Post Office
) upon the Decease of his
wife
came from another part of the Town and Lodged and Boards with the Bowditch in Walbrook
and agreed at the
same time that Nutaher his Servant shod. wait upon them in his absence as thos. he had been their
Servant Which he used to be but they had nothing to do with the paymt. of his wages and when Mr.
Johnson Quitted Mr. Bowditch
, his Servant went away with him but how Long he liv'd. with him
after we can't find out (W. Johnson being dead) but it's apprehends we need not peace more the
that he was not Mr. Bowditch's servant wit is swore to an ye. Examn.
The postpond. have given Notice to produce the Pauper
to prove the notice of appeal of necessary call
