Poor of the Parish of Saint Bartholomew
the Great London, and the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Andrew in Holborn

and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Bartholomew
London, That Elizabeth Douglass< no role > widow of John
Douglass
< no role > deced and their two Childrens Ann < no role > aged
Thirteen Years and Mary < no role > aged Seven Years are
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Elizabeth Douglass< no role > as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth Douglass< no role > and her
said two Children
to be in the said Parish of Saint Andrew

and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Bartholomew
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth Douglass< no role >
and her said two Children
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Andrew
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this Eighth Day of September One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty Six
