Nathaniel Carter< no role > and John Tacey< no role > Servants to the
Honble. the United Company of Merchants trading to the
East Indies severally make Oath and say that William
Whitchurch
< no role > was Employ'd as one of the Coopers to open
and mend the Packages of Goods that are taken out
of Lighters bringing Goods from the said Company's
Ships which were landed on Cox's Key , this Deponent
Carter suspecting that part of the Company's Goods
were Stolen search'd the said William Whitchurch< no role > 's
Pocket and took from him Seven peices of Rhubarb
which he verily believes to be the Property of the Company
and that the same were Stolen out of the said Company's
chest that upon Examining the said Whitchurch
further and taking him into an Office on Botolph Wharf
the said Whitchuch took out of his Pockets several
Peices of Borax to the amount of two Pounds weight
which this Deponent verily believes to be the property
of the said Company, and the said Deponent John
Tacey for himself Saith that he saw the said Carter
take the said Bhubarb from the said Whitchurch
