the Prosecutor in this Cause maketh
Oath That he hath made diligent Inquiry after Henry Keys< no role >
Levi
Moses< no role >
, Henry Samuel< no role >
and Lewis Oppenham< no role >
the Person proposed as
Bail for the said Solomon Jacobs< no role >
And this Deponent hath been credibly
informed by inquiring the Neighbourhood where they respectively
dwell and verily believes it to be true that they are Persons of infamon
Character and Reputation and get their Livelyhood mostly by being
Common Bail, And that the said Henry Keys< no role >
was some time since
a Turnkey
or Runner to One of the Compters
of this City but was hand
out from thence for Misbehaviour since which he has subsisted
mostly by being a Common Bail And this Deponent saith that
when the said Solomon Jacobs< no role >
was under Examination on Monday
last before John Fielding< no role >
Esquire
One of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex
of the said Henry Keys< no role >
appeared
there in his Behalf and was then and there challenged by a Lady
(who was visiting as the said Mr Fielding) for defrauding her somes
time since out of a Sum of money by means of some Bugles Which
be pretesded to Selt to her, and the said Mr. Fielding then threatend
the said Henry Keys< no role >
to committ him to Bridewell
unless he
immediately went about his Business And this Deponent further
saith that the above named Levi Moses< no role >
and Henry Samuel< no role >
appeared on the 22d. instant (puesuant to a Notice given this
Deponent) before the said Mr Fielding in Order to become Bail
for the said Solomon Jacobs< no role >
, but were then and these entirely &
rejected, by the said Mr. Fielding, the said Henry Samuel< no role >
keeping a
House in Dukes Place
in the lower past of which he keeps a Barber
Shop
and in the upper Part a Coffee Room whose the lower sort of Jews
resort and wherein he permitts Gaming Tipling and other Kinds
of Debauchery to be carried on in a most infamous Manner And
this Deponent further saith that the above named Lewis Oppenham< no role >
is not only a Common Bail but a Common Informer as this Depont:
