The Voluntary Information of Timothy Murphy< no role > late of the Royall
Family Privateers but now a Prisoner in the Poultry Compter taken upon Oath this
nineteenth Day of September 1752 . Before me Thomas Chitty< no role > Esqr and Aldeman &
one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said City, Saith

That on or about the [..] MonthDayof [..] February 1750 be this Informant was
applied to by one Thomas Noad< no role > , who acted as Clerk to the Managers of the Said
Privateers, to forge or cause to be forged the Will of one John Wilkinson< no role >
who was a Sailor belonging to one of the Said Privateers and one of the parties
mentioned as Plaintiff along with Capt. Robert Sinclair< no role > in a Bill filed in the
high Court of Chansery against the Mangers of the Said Privateers, Which
Forgery was in order (as he the Said Thomas Noads< no role > Said) to over sett the
Said Cause For that None (meaning the Sailors and others that belonged to the
Said Privateers) stood true to Goddard (meaning Mr James Goddard< no role > the
Agent to the Said Ship's Company) but Wilkinson and Sinclair (meaning the
Said John Wilkinson< no role > & Robert Sinclair< no role > ), And accordingly the Said Thomas
Noads bought a printed from of a Sailor's Will, filled up the Blanks with
his own hand and gave the Same to this Informant as a Guide for him
to transcribe the Same by and forge the Will of the said John Wilkinson< no role >
in order lorde fraud him the said John Wilkinson< no role > of the money due to him
from the Said Managers And that this Informant did accordingly write
over a Will as and for the Will of the said John Wilkinson< no role > , and did with
his this Informant's own hand by the direction of the Said Thomas
Noads, Subscribe thereto the Name of the said John Wilkinson< no role >
And the Said Thomas Noads< no role > did afterwards put a Seal thereto, Which
Will when delivered to the said Thomas Noads< no role > had only the name of
one Subscribing witness thereto, Which the Said Thomas Noads [..] objecting
to, Saying there must be two Witnesses, did thereupon with his the
Said Thomas Noads< no role > 's own hand write the name of
as another Witness to the said forged Will, And afterwards the said
Thomas Noads< no role > indorc'd upon the back of the Said forged will the
name of Crespigny, and directed him this Informant to go with one
Thomas Williams< no role > and carry the Same to Mr. Crespigny a Proctor in
Doctor's Commons in order to obtain a Probate of the Said Will And
upon this Informant's coming to Mr. Crespigny's Office in Company
with the said Thomas Williams< no role > , the Said Mr Crespigny Sent his Clerk
with the Said Thomas Williams< no role > in order to do the needfull to obtain
the Probate of the Said Will, When the Said Thomas Williams< no role > took
