The Examination of Roger Holes< no role > of
Peter Street in the Parish of St. Margtts.
Westmr . abt. Soldier , taken before me this
19th. day of December 1748 .

This Examinant Confesseth and saith, that he went this Morning
about ten o'Clock in Company with his Brother Abraham Hales< no role > to
a Publick house called the Stone Kitchen in his Majesty's Tower of
London , where they both were Drinking That this Examinant went
out of the Room leaving a Silver Tankard upon the Table, and his
Said Brother in the Room, That in their way Home to Peter Street
aforesaid, his said Brother Confessed to him that he had brought
away the Said Silver Tankard, and Saith that his said Brother
afterwards beat the said Tankard to peices and Melted part of it upon
the Fire, and that he afterwards delivered all the said Malted part together
with some broken peices which Remained Unmelted to this Examinant all which [..]
this Examinant together with his Wife carryed forth to Sell, and
further Saith that What his Wife did was by his Order and that
he forced her so to do And farther Saith not.
