Oath that he this Depont. Did on Thursday the eighth day
of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred
and thirty four put the Bank note Date the Eighth Day
of August one thousand Seven hundred and thirty four [..]
Twenty five pounds payable to Robert Needham< no role > Esquire
or Bearer mentioned in the Commitment of this Defendt.
together with other Notes into a Letter directed to Robert
Needham Esquire at Bampton in Oxfordshire and sent the
said Letter to the General Post office by one William Syms< no role >
who was then Book keeper to this Depont in order to be sent
by the Post as directed And the said William Syms< no role > (as he
informed this Depont. and as this Depont. verify believes)
did accordingly put the said Letter into the General Post
Office in Lombard Street to be forwarded But the said Letter
never same to the hands of the said Mr. Needham as the said
Mr. Needham informed this Depont. and as this Depont.
verify believes And this Depont. further saith that the
said William Syms< no role > left thus Deponts. Service in or about
the Month of February in the said Year of our Lord one
thousand Seven hundred and thirty four and went (as
this Depont. believes) to the Island of Saint Christopher
in the west Indies And this Depont. further saith that
the said William Syms< no role > now lives in Jamaica without
Mr. William Evans< no role > a Merchant there as this Deont
is informed and verify believes.
