For that the said Jane by her Examinantion taken before
the said two Justices possitively Swears that the
Appellant is the reall and true Father of the said Male
Bastard Child and did beget the Same on the body of the
Examinant And that no other persons had Carnal knowledge
of her Body
butthe Appellant Since her husbands Death
Whereas it plainly Appears that the said Jane
Myers hath been Oftern seen and found in bed withone

and Master Lyon Since the Death of her
late Husband and before and within the Space of twelve Months
last past and that this appellant was out of England the first day
of November last which is near no Months before the
Delivery of the said Jane Myers Therefore the
Appellant humbly insists that he is not the Putative
Tather thereof And for these Reasons appeals against
the Same
