Wee the Grand Jurors of the City of London having
had itt Represented to As by Severall Inhabitants of this City
as also from Our Own Knowledge That in Severall Streets of
the said City particularly in Saint Mildreds in the Poultry
and the Lower End of Cornhill as also in other Street which
are very narrow that the Hackney Coach-Men Letting their
Coaches and Horses Stand close to One another along the said
Streets to Ply for Fares is Daily the Occasion of a Great
Stoppage to Passengers & an Annoyance to the Inhabitants
thereof & to the Indangering the Lives of many of his
Majestices Good Subjects & Wee being Willing as much
as in As Lies to Contribute to the Redressing so Great a
Grievance & in Order to prevent the ill Consequences
& so pernicious & practice for the future Doe Humbly
Present the said Hackney Coach-Men Standing in
manner before mentioned as Common & Great Annoyance
& publick Damage of Passengers Going to & Fro.
