Peter Crank< no role > of London Gent maketh Oath that about the
Middle of the Moneth of May 1693 Hee this Depont. was
walking upon Tower Wharffe and met wth. James Fleggett< no role > &
another person with him [..] who to be this depont. that there was
a Race of two men naked to be run at Iron gate and
as this Depont was going wth them to see it She Said
James Flegget stopt by the way and took a guy from
the ground and the other person wth him cryed Halfes
and Fleggett told him that he should have one halfe
of it & that this Depont should have a Crown of it
& the remainder he would spend and desired no
noise should be made of it left the Soldiers there hearing
of it should make a Muting Whereupon this Deponts
went with the said Flegget and the other person to
[..] several Taverns the one was the Bullhead
head Tavern the othertheToers was by Allgate where
Fleggett took up a pack of Cards which lay in the
Window in the room were they were & trackt this
depont of Nineteene pounds in money drawing him
this Depont to play wth them
