The Informacon of Wm. Enles< no role > of Leather Lane Holbourne
Sayeth

That he this Informt was abt. Munday or tuesday ye 22d of Sept last
desired by Mr Atkinson to goe wth. him into Harfordshire, to receive Severall
debts due to him there And this Informt. in Ordr. to recover ye Same, Sued a
Lat forth of ye Cort of Kt. Bench, agt, four Severall Defender & had Warrts.
thereupon from in Pemberton Under Sherriffe of Harfordshire But he
this Informt. haveing often heard ye Sd. Mr. Atkinson & others talke much of
bringing home Cargoes as they Cald them, he this Informt. often tould ye sd.
Mr Atkinson, that if he went wth. him, he would not comerne himself in
any Such bilking unlawfull bargains, wth ye sd Mr Atkinson prinsed him faithfully
he should not doe, And this Informt. further Saith ye on fryday ye 26th. of Sept.
last, ye sd. Mr. Atkinson & this informt. tooke horse, went that night to Cheshunt ,
next morning to Harford Fair, where the Sd Mr Atkinson tould this
Informt he had a mind to buy a horse or two, & desired this Informt. Judgmt.
in the Fair there he looked upon a horse, tooke ye Owners name & place of aboad
in his pocket booke: from Harford we went that night toware, where on
munday morneing we went to ye horse of one William Nuttin< no role > , where he
that day bought 3 horses, of 3 Sewall & four, & gave them 3s. in Earnest
saw another but could not bargain for him, that night inor. returne to ware,
he saw two more, next day in Ware Market, be bought ye. horse he could not
agree for over night, gave the man halfe a Crowne in Earnest, & there alsoe
bought other two, gave ye one Man 5s, & the other 6s; in Earnest, And ordered
them all to be dd to him at ye Red Lyon in Fleetstreet , the thursday following
& there to receive their money; On ye wednesday night ye sd Mr Atkinson & this
Informt. came to London, And ye Sd. Atkinson Ordered this Informt. to be wth. him
Early next morneing, but when this Informt, came to his Lodgings, he ye sd Mr.
Atkinson was up & gon 3 howers before, And when this Informt. came to ye blew
Ball in Salsbury Cort, he there found one Mr Pearson Sealeing up a bag of
money ticketed £84: not long after in comes Mr Atkinson Prsently after
comes Corne Ever & Bowers: Bowers was to receipts his groome, Eves
a great Marchant & was pvided of bills receipts Etc. Pearson was to buy if
horses, Mr Atkinson desired Cornes Assistance; then they concluded ye the horses
after they came to ye Red Lyon, Should be removed to ye Boult & Tunn in
Fleetstreet , A place more convenient for ye Easier carrying on ye desigine,
being near or ye Fryars; All wth. was donne in ordr. & ye horses led over
& delive'd to Mr. Atkinson at ye Boult & Tunn: theme Mr Atkinson invites
ye Countrymen to ye Green Dragon Gavern, where Eves Pearson & Corne were
& where ye bagg of money before spoke of was Lodgd, und prtense of
paying them there; Mr. Atkinson desired me to See the horses did not Strike
one another: prsently in Comes in Pearson Saying he was abt. bying ye horses
