Whereas Complaint hath beene thursday made
unto us two of their Maties Justices of ye peace
for this City (Quorum unus) by ye Churchwardens
and Overseers of ye Poore of ye Parish of St:
Alhallows
ye lesse London that one Mary Lawes< no role >
is lately come into their said Parish and doth
reside there not haveing given notice in writeing
according to a late act of Parliament in that
case made which said Mary Lawes< no role >
is likely to
become chargeable to ye said Parish And whereas
it appeareth unto us by ye oath of [..] Anne
Lawes her mother that ye said Mary Lawes< no role >
was
last legally settled as an hired Servant with
one Joyce Little< no role >
Widdow
with Parish of St. Pauls Shadwell
in ye County of Middx
who is since Married
to one Clare of ye same Parish and that ye
said Mary Lawes< no role >
is not Comparments and
thereby unfitt to make oath of such her settlemt
There areintherefore in their Maties names to
require you forthwith to passe and convey or cause
to be passed and conveyed ye said Mary lawes from
Constable to Constable out of ye said Parish of St:
Alhallows
the lesse into ye said Parish of St: Pauls
Shadwell and there deliver & leave her or cause her to
be delivered and left with ye Churchwardens or
Overseers of ye poore of ye said Parish of St: Pauls
Shadwell or one of them that she may be
maintained & provided for as ye Law doth
