of the City of London this 21th. day of Novembr
Anno Dm 1692.

The said Examint. sayeth that last Sunday was Sennight he
met his wife about noone at A Cooks Shop in St. Martin
Le Grand and there din'd with her alone; and payd
for her dinner, and about 5 or 6 of the Clock at night
they had a hott pott vizt. Ale Brandy & Sugar & Eggs
and his said wife went to her lodging for Sugar and
an Egg and mixt the same with the hott Ale, and
Brandy, And there being two potts the same was
mixt out of one Pott into the other Severall times
and being soe mixt with the Ingredient the same
was divided and this Examint. drank one part
& his said wife drank the other part thereof, And
this Examint. sayeth that he knowes not how she
came by her death, And he left her in Blow bladder
Street that night quickly after drinking the said hott pott
And he left her suddenly because that she had often
abused him at parting and crying out Stop Theife Stop
Theife And that she had often said she would doe
herselfe a mischeife to hang him, And further sayeth
not.
