The Examinacon of John Benthey< no role > taken the 25th
day of May 1692 before me Sr . Thomas Stampe< no role > Knt
Lord Maior of ye City of London and one of their
Maties. Justices of ye peace for Ye said City

Who Sayth he [..] keepeth ye Jockey Alehouse in Cow lane
and sayth That one Bartholomew Moody< no role > a Perriwig
maker do the lodge att his house and hath door Soe
for three Monges& & Saythupwards and Sayth
the said Moody hall informed him That
his Father lives in Whitefryers or Thereabouts.
and Sayth that he this Examint. reveal out of his house
this morning about 8 of ye Clock and did
not returne againe till four or five this afternoone or
thereabouts, and that his baginethe abroad
this day was to buy horses for some psons
whom played this Examint. and to gett up some
Money owing to him by severall Psons in
& about this City
