The Information of George Clay< no role > of Princes Street
Rotherhithe in the County of Surry Timber Merchant
taken before me Sir Sampson Wright< no role > Knight
this 17th. day of July 1789

Who being upon Oath says that about the Sixth Day of July
Instant he this Informant received a Quantity of Five Timber
from on Board the Ocean lately arrived in the River Thames from
the part of Memele in Prusiathat the said Timber when
brought from said ship was Conveyed to Hanover Hole Rotherhithe
and that on Wednesday Night the 8th. Instant Between the hours of Seven and Eight he this Informant
saw said Timber in Hanover Hole aforesaidthat the same
Night or early on Thursday Morning, three pieces of the
Said Timber were cut away and stolen from One of the Floats;
And this Informant further saith that on Thursday last he
went to a place called Thomas Street Tottenham Court road , [..]
where he saw three pieces of Memele Fir Timber, which Timber
he this Informant is very sure is [..] his property [..]
and are the same Pieces which were stolen from Hanover Hole
as aforesaid
