And this Informant George Cawker for himself saith
that he is a Carpenter and lives at Edmonton , that
about 3 Weeks since he was coming to Town and
met the Prisoner Henry Lane< no role > near Newington , that
knowing something of him before this Informant asked
him how he did and entered into Conservation with
himduring which the sd Henry Lane< no role > told this Informt.
he had slept with a young Man the over night, who
had taken away his Waistcoat and it was lucky
that he had not also taken his Watchthat he wanted
to go to his Friends but could not appear without a Waist
coat and Stockings, wherefore he should be obliged to sell the
Watchupon which they both went to Watch makes
a small Distance off, shewed the Watch to the Wakman to
know the Value of it, who declared if his Master was at
home he thought he would give a Guinea for it as
after some mending he might probably sell for a Guineas
and a halfthey then left the Watch maker and after
a good deal of Conversation and much Persuasion this
Informant was induced to buy the sd Watch with the
String, Seal and Key now produced and Sworn toley
the other Informant John Gray< no role > of the said Henry Lane< no role >
per which he paid one Guinea, half a Crown & one Penny
