charged with stealing Four Coats
taken before me this 15th. day at
December 1787

Watkins in his defence says that when he
returned to his room No.2 Lewkners Lane last Night he
found the said Four Coat in his Room and that
he does not know how they came there That
he acknowledges the dis [..] of the Street and First
but that he knows nothing more of the Coats their
Finding there in his Room
