The Informations of Jonathan Collins< no role >
Servant to Sarah Ball< no role > of Newbury
in the County of Berks Widow and
John Walker< no role > one of the Watchman
of Turnham Green taken before
me this 5th. day of December 1787

Who being upon Oath Severally say and first the said
Jonathan Collins< no role > for himself Says That on Tuesday
the 20th. day of November last about six o'Clock us
the Evening he put six Ewe Sheep and a Small
wether Sheep into a Field belonging to his said
Mistress at Newbury aforesaid That about nine
oClock the next Morning Their Informant went to
the said Field when he found the Sheep were
Stolen And this Informant Further Says that
the Sheep he saw this Day at Turnham Green
in the Possession of said John Walker< no role > are the
Same Sheep that were Stolen as aforesaid And the
said John Walker< no role > for himself Says that about
two oClock in the Morning of Friday the 23rd. day of
November last he Stopt the Person now present
who calls himself John Green< no role > away who was
driving five Ewes and one wether Sheep which he
has this day She was to said Jonathan Collins< no role > That
when he Stop't said Green away he asked him
where he was going That said Green away replied
that he received the Sheep from Mr. Strond of Reading
and was going to Smithfield to sell them by his
direction.
