The Information of Austin Forrest< no role > mate of the Good Ship Called the Hope John
Mudge Master now lying at Hanover Hole on the River Thames in the County
of Surry taken before us John Staples< no role > and Peter Greene< no role > Esquires two of his
Majesty Justices of the Peace in and for the said County the 3d. day of November
1787 who being on his Oath Saith that on the Thirtieth day of October last
Informant William Ryan< no role > and John Ladyman< no role > put two pair of Shrouds with the
Dead Eyes and the Stay belonging to the Mizen Mast of the said Ship in the Stearage
of the said Ship Hope. That on the next day he found the said Rigging with other
things had been Stolen out of the said Ship further saith that he received Informant
the said Rigging had been sold to Michael Dwyer< no role > of Trinity Yard Rateliff
[..] in Old Rope that he together with John Fletcher< no role > an Head borough Captain
Mudge and another Officer went and Searched the Warehouse of the Said Michael
Dwizer and found a Quantity of Toon Hoops which he verily believes were
Stolen from the Brig Perseverance and the Property of Mr. John Hill< no role >
further Saith that he and the said John Fletcher< no role > found the said Mizen
Rigging so Stolen aforesaid and now Produced in a Celles in the Occupation of
the said Michael Dwyer< no role > in Trinity Yard in the Hamlet of Ratcliff in
the said County
