The Information of Ann Ouston< no role > of
Ratcliff Highway Widow taken
before me this 23rd. day of March 1787

Who being upon Oath saith that she has known
Mary Linney< no role > now present Ten Years that she
went to her House in Church Lane Whitechapel
on Wednesday last the 14th. Instant to carry her
two Gallons of Rum where she saw the said Mary
Linney
< no role > and her Husband and Sarah Gawon now
present That she saw said Linney and Gawon
take some Shillings and six pences out of a Pan
of Water That they looked black That they rubbed
them with Sand when they looked White That
they then put them into another Pan of Water
That they wiped them with a Cloth and then put
them into another Cloth That they then took a
round pan and put some Clocking on them
That they then rubbed them with white Pasder
when they looked very well That Daniel Linney< no role >
Husband to said Mary Linney< no role > was in the Yard of
said House that he came in and burnt a piece
of Rag on the Floor of said Room That there was
about Thirty or Forty Shillings That the Six
Shillings now produced by said London is part
of the Money she received for said Rum from
said Mary Linney< no role > That she was to go to said
House again the next day for Ten Shillings
worth of Counterfeit Money That she was to
receive Fifteen Shillings for the Ten That
she went accordingly when said Daniel Linney< no role >
came to the door and said hance we are not
ready for you you must come at 3 o'Clock to
morrow last sea was presented she being taken
into custody.
