Thos. Smith< no role > and James Webster< no role > came to Examts. House for the Seven Sheep
and ordered Examinants Father to take One of them to Mr. Corke of
Leadenhall Market the other Six were taken to the same place by a
Porter On which day this Examinant Received a Note from the said
Thos. Sargeant< no role > for the delivery of the Nine Sheep Skins brought by the
said James Webster< no role > who employed this Examinants said Father to
take them to Mr. Bibbey a Skin Salesman in White Chapel and to leave
them there in the Name of Thomas Smith< no role > which this Examinant believes
was accordingly done Some little time after this Examinant Settled
for the two Sheep which he had bought of the said Thos. Sargeant which
came to the Sums of Two Pounds Thirteen Shillings and Ten pence
for which this Examinant took two Receipts one [..]
[..] One Pound Eight Shillings & Ten pence & the
other [..] for One Pound five Shillings
but the said Thomas Sargeant< no role > would not take any more than the
Sum of One Pound & five Shillings for the whole and asked this
Examinant if he was Satisfied And this Examinant further on
his Oath saith that on Saturday the 17th. day of March Instant
the said Thos. Smith told this Examinant that the said James Webster< no role >
had brought the Skins of the first five Sheep aforementioned
to his the said Thomas Smiths< no role > House where they had Cut the Wool
off and put the Skins down the Necessary which Ran into the
Common Sewer
